Peace River Seafood Restaurant - Punta Gorda

Travelling down highway 17 on my way back from shopping with  my friend, we decided to stop off at the restaurant that we had passed several times and never thought to stop at before.

Peace River Seafood Restaurant, Punta Gorda doesn't really look like much from the outside and as a visitor from out of town, I thought I'd give it a try.

The restaurant is an old Florida style house. It has a porch and decking on the outside with a small amount of seating inside making it very cosy. On the walls inside arecovered in $1 bills , on them signatures from customers from all over the world. There is also an abundance of fishing equipment from nets to boys and shells, very atmospheric. One of the first things I did noticed were the very accommodating staff. They were so polite and even though they were really busy nothing seemed to be fazing them. Everyone in there were tucking into copious amounts of seafood.

The restaurant caters for every taste and the range is variable depending upon season.
Their menu mainly consists of a variety of freshly caught seafood including, clams , scallops, shrimp and a huge range of fresh fish with crab, Blue crab being the most popular and occasionally if you are lucky and quick enough a treat of Stone Clawed Crabs too.The steak I can say too from  my own experience  is to die for, or if you don't want seafood and you fancy some Surf and Turf.

They also offer a range of alcoholic beverages including some of the more popular light beers.
If you have had all you can eat and drink and if you still have the room, the Key Lime Pie is a must. Personally for myself, a little on the large size but, a good portion for two people to share.
The prices are fair and if you want the best you'll pay for it and I have absolutely no complaints about the pricing.

All in all a wonderful place and somewhere that could become a regular stop off for me as I love it there the food tastes so good! ;) Great job guys
